About Aerial Yoga

Aerial yoga is different from traditional yoga, also known as anti-gravity yoga, (AntiGravity Yoga), is a new type of yoga. It is different from traditional yoga. It uses a silk hammock suspended from the roof to allow practitioners to complete all actions. But it can also bring mental peace like the usual yoga. The founder of this sport is Christopher Harrison.

It mainly uses a rope hammock suspended in mid-air to support the balance and weight of the body, and achieves deep stretching through gravity, so that the superficial skin, muscles and even the underlying lymph, blood vessels and nerves can be stimulated. Practice on the basis of the 360-degree instability of the yoga hammock, even if you are doing things that usually feel simple, you need better stability.

Instead of going through the brain, allowing the body to voluntarily use the deep muscles to stabilize the body, this exercise results in a healthier body, burns more calories, and makes weight loss easier. Due to the effect of the suspenders, the movements of aerial yoga look beautiful, but the movements also look very difficult. It is precisely because of the assistance of the hammock that the bell walks part of the weight, making it easier for athletes to perform the difficult movements of yoga on the ground, such as some inverted postures, which can make the brain congested, unblock the meridians, and help the blood flow throughout the body. It is especially effective for decompression, lymphatic drainage and treatment of shoulder, neck and back pain.

Aerial yoga is beautiful and less difficult and easier to adapt to than traditional yoga, but it is not without limitations. Because some movements require handstands, pulling, and abdominal strength, pregnant women, people with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and people with unhealed trauma are not suitable for practicing aerial yoga. In addition, recent major surgery, severe osteoporosis can not practice.
